Notability

[edit]

Article is notable under Wikipedia:Notability (music):

  • 1. It has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent from the musician/ensemble itself and reliable.
Most of the non-trivial coverage has been reviews. I will dig up as much as I can.
  • 5. Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e. an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable).
The indie label Magic Marker Records has been around for at least 7 years (more I believe). The roster includes notable artists Tullycraft, The Bats, and All Girl Summer Fun Band. Walker Kong and The Owls have both received significant coverage and are notable, although they don't have articles yet.
  • 6. Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable; note that it is often most appropriate to use redirects in place of articles on side projects, early bands and such.
Two members previously performed as Wolf Colonel with Jason Anderson, a K Records performing artist who is notable.

I am removing the notability tag, as notability seems to me significantly established under #5. I agree that more can be done to establish notability under #1, and I will leave the references tag there until that is done. Northwesterner1 (talk) 19:36, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome, glad to see that this noteworthy band has made it through the bogus politics of the almighty Wikipedia nerds. Shamrox (talk) 07:07, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
